Change the unit of issue in the Part Library

A unit of measure is also referred to as a unit of issue in FactoryLogix.
In the FactoryLogix Office Part Library, you can change the unit of issue on the Internal Part Numbers (IPN) tab using the Unit of Issue drop-down.
Warning
Consider unit of issue changes carefully!
If you change the Unit of Issue field for a part in the Part Library, FactoryLogix will modify all quantity values related to that part system-wide—including alternate parts and their quantity values.
It's also important to understand that when you change a unit of issue, the original quantity values are retained. For example, if a BOM line item has a quantity of 10.2 Inches and you change the Unit of Issue to Centimeters, the quantity will be 10.2 Centimeters.
When you select an incompatible unit of issue for a part number and select Save, you will see this dialog:
