Issue
Barcode validation fails on a generic test adapter.
Resolution
Check the following items before placing files into the monitored folder to ensure that barcode validation succeeds on a generic test adapter:

All FactoryLogix services—including the xLink service—must connect to the same database. Verify this in FactoryLogix Server Management and confirm in the SvcLog. (See Using Server Management for details.)

The xLink service must be fully started before you place any file in the monitored folder. After starting the service, wait one to two minutes until the green arrow appears in FactoryLogix Office.

If barcode validation fails, the adapter cannot locate the barcode and the batch will be empty.

A failed result indicates a configuration problem—your setup must not permit barcode validation failures.

Review the xLink service configuration and database connection before retrying.
