Change a barcode or UID to a new value

Issue

Use this procedure to change an existing unit identifier (UID) or barcode to a new value in FactoryLogix Operations.

Resolution

1. Log in to FactoryLogix Operations.

2. Select Advanced Features > Change Product.

3. Select the Search button.

4. Set the search mode to By Serial Number.

5. Enter the barcode or UID you want to modify, then select the Change Identifier button.

6. Enter the new UID to replace the existing value, then select OK.
   
   The UID is now updated.
   

7. To verify the change, search for the old UID in FactoryLogix Operations and confirm it no longer exists.
